VOA Extension

Three steps, two weeks

Start ideally two weeks before your first 30 days end.

    Submit documents

    Passport (6+ months valid), return ticket copy and the extension form.

  2. 2

    Immigration visit

    Fingerprints, photo and sometimes a brief interview at Imigrasi Denpasar.

  3. 3

    Collect passport

    Usually 7–14 business days later, stamped with your extension.

Beyond 60 Days

Planning months, not weeks?

A VOA can never pass 60 days. For longer stays, arrange the B211A e-Visa before you travel: 60 days on entry, extendable twice for up to 180 days in total.

Apply for every extension at least 14 working days before expiry — public holidays can slow the office down.

Why timing matters

Indonesian immigration is strict. Overstay fines accrue daily and longer overstays bring heavier consequences.

Assuming a VOA extends indefinitely, missing the biometrics appointment or relying on social-media advice are the usual routes to an overstay.
